1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family; hobbies; past business highlights...
I was born in Weslaco, Texas, but I came from a large family who were migrant workers in the north. I was raised in South Bend, Indiana. I now live in the beautiful city of San Antonio, Texas, since 1999, with my youngest daughter, Jackee, and her daughter (my one and only grandbaby, Zayden Rose). My oldest daughter, Lydia, lives in Austin, Texas. We are a small family but this home full of women love to listen to music and binge on movies with pickles and popcorn.
2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
My personal growth has come as a surprise to me, because although I have always had a strong belief in God, praying was minimal. It was never something I did daily and now because of my coach and mentors, that has changed to daily and as often as necessary. I have gained confidence and compassion that comes from a strong work ethic and guidance. While I have had the opportunity of a lifetime by coming on board with PlanNet Marketing, I have also had the blessings of incredible mentors and excellent leaders setting examples to follow.
3. What drives you; what motivates you?
My drive is simple: my family…my need to take my family away from the state of mind that it’s ok to be ok, it’s ok to simply be mediocre. God has placed us here to be and do so much more. My motivation is within me, daily…I motivate myself to push as far away as I can from bouts of depression and anxiety simply because we don't have what others say is needed to succeed.
4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
Although I have a few role models that I look to for a variety of reasons, I would have to say Tiffany and Walter Powell. They aren't just giants in this industry, but giants in the real life day-to-day world. They have shown me that guidance isn't just about speaking to a person and giving directions, but literally showing them the step-by-step real version. In them I have found "real," real people with real problems with real solutions that have always led to real gratitude and real appreciation. Through rough times and good times, they are steady with being "real" even when it was not flattering. A true role model can show you what it's like when you’re winning and when you’re learning because there is no losing...not when it comes to role modeling.
5. The three words that describe you best are:
Understanding, Loyal, and Charismatic.
6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would it be?
Find "belief.” Whatever it takes, how ever long it takes, find it! Without BELIEF in your life you will struggle, like the hamster in the wheel, running and running and getting nowhere!! If you don't believe in yourself at first, find someone to believe in and run with them and find your belief on the way.
7. What does your life look like five years from now?
Five years from now, I plan on being in a position of abundance, in order to give those who were just like me, struggling but full of the desire and wanting to be better, to give more. Owner of a gym in order to help women who struggle with weight but cannot afford to be in the "chain" gym. Basically creating the next level of legacy for my family. As Mr. Donald Bradley likes to say, "Make it, Save it, Use it to pay your bills, Invest it."
