MEET ONE-STAR DIRECTOR CATHERINE NETTER!

Catherine-Netter-1Star-Article.jpg

Meet new One-Star Director Catherine Netter. Catherine was born and raised in Swindon, England, UK.  She shares, “I’m the mother of a crazy seven-year-old who is my complete world and whom I adore so much. I was introduced to this opportunity back in January 2019 and I turned it down, sat back and watched for five months before I had enough of sitting back and watching and jumped straight in! I always knew I had an entrepreneurial spirit in my bones, as I’ve tried so many things in the past, alongside my corporate jobs and even when I was younger! I used to sell chocolate and sweets at school from my locker, designed stationary for weddings, even wanted to buy a McDonald’s franchise, but just never had the kind of crazy money to invest!

“My daughter, Evie, and I have had the best adventures together already. We love being outdoors, we love staying home snuggled under blankets watching movies, and we are even more excited to see more of the world together! I wake up grateful every single day that I get to work from home and work this business around my number one priority. I get to be a great kick-ass Mum AND flourish in my career, both at the same time, something I have ALWAYS wanted…and that you cannot put a price on. The team culture created is SO powerful and the opportunities presented to us to continue to grow are even more exciting.

“I was SO lucky and extremely grateful when I was younger to experience two to three holidays a year with my siblings and parents; we created the BEST memories on these holidays, and this is why it’s so special that this business can provide the same memories for myself and my daughter as she grows up. We have several holidays booked in 2020 and there’s so much excitement already. I also had a two-year, solo travelling trip booked/planned back when I was 21 years old, but a month before I was due to leave, I found out I was having a bundle of joy in 11 weeks time. My travel plans took a backseat, but no more. The future is looking extremely perfect and extraordinary thanks to this business, and even better, I get to do it all with my little sidekick! I cannot wait to see more of the world in the future with Evie and create forever lasting memories together.

“Tips for success…what we all have to remember is the industry we are in is a people-to-people to business. You have to LOVE talking and showing people exactly what we do. Make sure you have a daily method of operation every single day and that you SHOW up every day to complete this. I have a huge checklist of what I need to complete every day and tick this off, even on weekends. I will ALWAYS make time for this business, no matter how busy I am. Also learn to be patient, natural, and authentic when showing the opportunity we have. Never take a ‘no’ outright, it’s just always a ‘not right now.’ The timing has to be right for them to join, not you. Fortune is ALWAYS in the follow up. As well as working super hard, prepare to make sacrifices right at the beginning! Short term sacrifices for long term gains, promise it will pay off!

“Achieving One-Star Director within my first six months in the business felt amazing. But I didn’t have time to celebrate, my focus is back on achieving my next goals. Remember, setting a goal and believing you can achieve it is the first step, but turning up and taking HUGE ACTION, every single day, is where you are going to see the results. You are going to have knock-backs, that’s the beauty of business, but use those knock-backs to push forward even more outside of your comfort zone, and that’s where the magic happens! We have the vehicle with this business, but it’s up to us to go out and find those drivers who want to achieve financial freedom, security, and most importantly, time freedom, to live life on their terms. You just have to wake up every morning and say. ‘How many lives can I improve today?’ Remember, if you treat this like a hobby, it will pay you like a hobby. Treat it like a business, and it will pay you like a business.

“A fun fact about me…the best business building for me happens when I’m in a hot bubble bath! I have found my best business partners whilst having a soak in the bubbles. I have two a day if I’m really spoiling myself! Try it, you’ll be thanking me later. Also can’t go to bed with talcum powdering my feet, (don’t ask)!

“Wishing a wonderful Christmas to you all and a Happy New Year!”

THE LEADERSHIP SPOTLIGHT SHINES ON: ROCHELLE MONTGOMERY

Spotlight-Rochelle-Montgomery.jpg

1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family; hobbies; past business highlights...
I was born in Chicago, IL, but my parents moved to California when I was a young girl. I spent most of my life in southern California - Los Angeles, Santa Monica, and now San Diego, where I have lived for about a year and a half. I am a proud mother of three amazing adult children. My son, James, is a Gold Builder in my organization. He has been my rock and is one of my strongest champions in this journey.

I am a retired attorney, but I have always enjoyed entrepreneurship. In the past, I have sold health products, dabbled in real estate, owned a catering business, and have had a consulting business. Now I am in the most rewarding enterprise of them all as a marketing specialist and business owner in the travel industry. I love to travel. I am an avid reader. I enjoy all types of dance and, whether I am cooking or eating, I am obsessed with delicious food! As a matter of fact, I am such a foodie that I travel just to experience food culture in different places. Another fact some may find surprising is that while I have a strong academic background, I most enjoy mystery novels and Marvel and DC comics (there are times you can find me in full costume at events like Comic-Con). In addition to these activities, I am an amusement park fanatic!!! Disney, of course, is a favorite, but I can close down any roller coaster park at any time!

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
Our leaders model a system of professionalism and excellence that I have never experienced in any of my previous endeavors. Their examples and training have given me the tools to truly evaluate myself as a team player, a leader, and an entrepreneur. I have grown to better understand how to take decisive action, how to work through doubt and rejection, how to be accountable for my actions, how to open myself to criticism and coaching, and how to help other people do the same. The genuine teamwork and relationship-building have enabled me to be a better listener and to better understand the needs of each person I come in contact with. This has been a tremendous help to me in business, but more importantly, in my personal life.

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
I was a product of a divorced family, a ‘latch-key child’ who had to grow up too fast. Although I was a smart student, I was also a troubled student who was considered “at risk.” Fortunately, I was blessed with a group of adults around me – teachers, school administrators, godparents – who were determined not to lose me. These people, by their example, tough love, and faith turned my life around. My drive comes from my desire to repay all of the dedicated role models who took a “girl from the hood” and gave her a world of opportunity. From the time I was a young adult, it has been my mission to do the same for others. I have lived my life and have focused my career on doing work that helps empower those who have not seen a way to help themselves. I am motivated not only by civic and community responsibility, but also by parenthood, and the desire to show my children that living a fulfilled life is integrally related to improving the lives of others. Because of the vision of Mr. and Mrs. Bradley, I now have a vehicle that makes it easy to reach out and do just that. Now, my motivation comes from my desire to model the standards of excellence established by our leaders so that my family, friends, and community are empowered with the same level of opportunity that has been given to me.

4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
I have far too many role models to count. There is the entire village of teachers, administrators, and family who showed me that I did not have to be a victim of my environment. Mother Teresa's selfless dedication to others, the wisdom and universal leadership of Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King, the trailblazing courage of Justice Thurgood Marshall and President Barack Obama have left deep and abiding impressions in my heart and soul.

However, it is my 33-year-old daughter, Jennifer, who is my most significant role model. Jennifer has suffered from chronic severe medical conditions since she was a very young girl. She never experienced a “regular” teenage life or the kind of enjoyment most young adults experience. Despite her challenges, Jennifer has lived a rewarding and amazing life. Medical problems caused Jennifer to delay her entrance into college, but once enrolled, she volunteered for mission trips to disaster-ridden Louisiana, Mississippi, and Haiti. She helped develop a youth ministry on campus, and eventually assisted in the establishment of a local church. And, while enduring ongoing health problems, Jennifer became a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Mercer University.

Unfortunately, Jennifer's illness has become more challenging in her adult years. She lives in chronic pain, has ongoing medical emergencies, and continues to be at risk of developing major life-threatening conditions. This has adversely impacted every aspect of her life – her relationships, her work, her finances, and even her ability to just relax. But through it all, Jennifer smiles, does not complain, and remains one of the hardest working people I know. Her faith has remained so strong that she is now an ordained minister. She perseveres with grace, kindness, humor, and forgiveness. No matter how many times she's knocked down, she persists, and insists on living each day as a new opportunity for great things to happen. I have learned so much about the importance of life, faith, and hope from taking this journey with my daughter. In time, I hope to be at least half the woman she is.

5. The three words that describe you best are:
Passionate, Resilient, Giving.

6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would it be?
Whatever you think your purpose is in life, act on it now! Don't wait for better times or until you are more accomplished. There is a place in the world for each of us to make our mark and be the people we are destined to be. Just be willing to be taught. Be open to new experiences. Never stop learning. And always continue to evaluate your “real” self.

7. What does your life look like five years from now?
Five years from now, I see myself as the evidence, the role model, and the example for anyone who thinks there's something better for them in life. I am the one people will point to and say, "If she can rise from being a troubled teen in the inner city to a respected professional, to a seven-figure income earner who has helped hundreds of people live the life of their dreams…so can I !!"

PLANNET MARKETING WELCOMES NEW 20/20 CLUB MEMBERS!

2020-logo-text.jpg

The personal 20/20 Club features will continue; currently there are many 20/20 Club Members who have sent in their bios, but due to the growing number, have not yet been featured in the blog. Watch for your bio in future editions of PlanNetNow!

Recognition is very important and we hope this new format shows how much we value our 20/20 Club Members! Congratulations to everyone who has achieved this very important level in your PlanNet business!

MEET 20/20 CLUB MEMBER RENINA MILLAN!

Renina-Millan-2020-Banner.jpg

PlanNet Marketing is pleased to welcome Nina Millan to the 20/20 Club! Nina is a wife, mom of three, and a graphic designer from central New Jersey. She loves all things art and design, from HGTV to museums and shows. Nina shares, “Travel is my passion and is a form of self care for me and my family. I also love beautiful hotel rooms, great dining, and wellness activities like indoor cycles and yoga. And I am known to also indulge in the spa when I travel too.

“I am travel obsessed! I've been all around the US and the Caribbean, and frequent a few vacation properties that I own in Mexico and Atlantis, Bahamas. I always travel with my family because I feel it’s important to expose your children and spouse to a travel lifestyle and new world experiences. Europe and Asia are on our list for next year!

“I launched my business in January and haven’t looked back since. I am finding success by connecting with people on social media. I think it’s important for you as a Rep of the company to show how the business can impact your life for the better first. By showing how I am using the product (our travel business) to enhance my family’s life, I see that it helps people connect with that and want it for themselves too. You have to be a product of the product and travel often! I also think that being consistent, following up with people, and being authentic in what you talk about by sharing often, but not OVER sharing, is important. You are the example, but you have to have a great balance of sharing your life and the business with people, but not in a pushy way. Let them be a guest in your audience, and then invite them backstage to learn more, but also follow up!

“I achieved success quickly by talking to a lot of people and by following up. Most people don't realize that you need to speak to 10 or more people per day, but also follow up with people within 24-48 hours! Also, don't let their decision to not join you affect your emotions. There are people out there who want what we have; they just don't know it yet, so keep looking for those people. Work with the willing!

“A fun fact about me: I'm also a Bodycombat instructor and run my own digital marketing agency with my husband.”

MEET 20/20 CLUB MEMBER RHONDA MYRES!

PlanNet Marketing is pleased to welcome Rhonda Myres to the 20/20 Club! Rhonda tells us, “I live in Temple, TX. I am a newlywed, married to my amazing husband, Dale Myres. I have lived in Texas all my life. I attended the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, where I received my BS in Education, and I taught third grade for 10 years. After being married for 25 years and having three awesome children, I got divorced and found myself a single mom trying to support three kids. So I started looking for ways to supplement my income. I owned a commercial and residential cleaning business for two years. I was an inspector of modular homes for a few years and I managed a restaurant for two years. While I worked at Clayton Homes, I met someone who became a dear friend to me. Her name is Lindsay Russell and she introduced me to network marketing and the travel business. I joined her team in November 2018. I still worked full time when I first joined the business, but soon realized I wanted to pour my all my available time into my business.

“At first, I only wanted to book travel. I didn't get an opportunity to travel much growing up, so I wanted to learn all about how I could travel and save money. After a few months of doing that, I signed on my first Rep to my team. I was bitten by the bug! I realized that building a team was the way to go. So in February 2019, I quit my full time job and started building my team! I ran through the ranks, Bronze, Silver, Gold Plus, and now 20/20 in just four months! It hasn't been easy and the advice I would give to new people in this business is Don't Quit! There will be many no's, but there will be yeses too. Just keep going! If someone isn't interested, just move on. I only invest my time in people who are truly interested in how they can achieve financial and time freedom and leave a legacy for their family.

“I now have three grown children, a five-year-old granddaughter and a grandson on the way. My ‘Why’ is my kids, my grandkids, and my husband. I truly love what I do and it shows! I am so thankful to God for allowing me to do something I love and help other people. I am also thankful to my sponsor, Lindsey Russell, and my Director, Brandy Whiteman, for all they have done for me to help me achieve my goals. Next goal: DIT!”

COMPLIANCE CORNER

He Sees You When You’re Sleeping!
Amanda-Restivo175.jpg

Santa Claus isn’t the only one watching these days, now there are elves in our homes, too! On December 1st, a small elf in a red outfit showed up in my dining room with donuts and candy canes, promising to watch my kids’ every move and report back to the big guy. Our elf is named Cookie and my kids enjoy searching for her each morning, and secretly I hope they are a little wary of her – because every time they talk back or hit one another – I tell Cookie so she can report it to Santa. It’s so nice to have that little helper around this time of year.

You may not have a pint-sized magical creature in your home watching how you conduct your business, but believe me when I say, someone is watching. Actually, EVERYONE is watching – family, friends, prospects, your upline, your downline, other Reps not on your team, people not even involved in our business – people who may not like our business at all. You better watch out!

elf.jpg

The way we present our business and product is so very important. Unintentional errors in social media posts, pages and groups, your presentation, even your private interactions with other Reps or prospects could be detrimental to our whole company. I see it every day – a Rep who doesn’t realize they are acting like a travel agent (and vice versa).

It’s important that Reps have a clear understanding of our PlanNet business, and its relationship with InteleTravel, our travel partner. PlanNet Marketing and InteleTravel are two separate businesses with different products to offer – we need to know what we’re selling here, people.

PlanNet Marketing recruits independent Reps, who earn commissions by selling the PlanNet Marketing product – the InteleTravel ITA (Independent Travel Agency.) PlanNet Marketing supports that PlanNet Rep and provides tools for the Rep to become successful in their PlanNet business.

InteleTravel delivers the ITA business and website – fulfills it, supports the ITA in business, trains the travel agent, and provides the tools necessary for the ITA to succeed in selling travel. The ITA sells travel and earns travel commissions.

At a PlanNet Marketing business presentation meeting, the audience is made up of PlanNet Reps and guests of PlanNet Reps. They are there to learn about the PlanNet Rep business opportunity and to see the product that they will be buying and/or selling, which is the InteleTravel ITA business. (There is no "travel training" at a PlanNet Marketing business presentation, only the presentation of the product – the InteleTravel ITA business).

PlanNet Marketing trains PlanNet Reps on how to sell travel agencies; InteleTravel trains InteleTravel ITAs on how to sell travel.

"Product" training by a PlanNet Marketing qualified instructor is all about the product that a PlanNet Rep sells – which is the InteleTravel ITA/Independent Travel Agency. The PlanNet Rep class instructor should describe the product that PlanNet Reps sell – explain all about the product – show them the InteleTravel ITA website, how it works, the tools and training modules offered to the ITA – the commission opportunity – show all the features and advantages of the ITA business – but the Plannet Marketing instructor does not train on how to be a successful travel agent. Travel agent training comes from InteleTravel.

Santa-everyone-watching.jpg

At your PlanNet business presentation meetings or any other time, you can have “Product training” or “Marketing training,” which is information provided about the ITA product that you’ll be selling as a PlanNet Rep, but NOT “Travel training,” where the curriculum might include “how to book group cruises,” or “how to create travel customers,” or “how to earn travel commissions.” Marketing training (that’s “how to build your PlanNet Rep business and SELL the ITA business) is the job of PlanNet Marketing; Travel Training is the job of InteleTravel, and they do an excellent job of that. PlanNet Reps sell a travel business; InteleTravel agents sell travel.

Is PlanNet in the Travel Business? CERTAINLY! We don’t sell “travel,” but we do sell a Rep business that will afford you the opportunity to travel the world, AND we sell a travel business that you can SELL or BUY, and enjoy all the advantages of being an independent travel agent!

Remember someone is always watching and we must constantly be vigilant in the way we present our product and company.
