THE LEADERSHIP SPOTLIGHT SHINES ON: JUDY CANTU

Judy-Cantu-Spotlight-Dec13.jpg

1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family; hobbies; past business highlights...
I was born in Weslaco, Texas, but I came from a large family who were migrant workers in the north. I was raised in South Bend, Indiana. I now live in the beautiful city of San Antonio, Texas, since 1999, with my youngest daughter, Jackee, and her daughter (my one and only grandbaby, Zayden Rose). My oldest daughter, Lydia, lives in Austin, Texas. We are a small family but this home full of women love to listen to music and binge on movies with pickles and popcorn.

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
My personal growth has come as a surprise to me, because although I have always had a strong belief in God, praying was minimal. It was never something I did daily and now because of my coach and mentors, that has changed to daily and as often as necessary. I have gained confidence and compassion that comes from a strong work ethic and guidance. While I have had the opportunity of a lifetime by coming on board with PlanNet Marketing, I have also had the blessings of incredible mentors and excellent leaders setting examples to follow.

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
My drive is simple: my family…my need to take my family away from the state of mind that it’s ok to be ok, it’s ok to simply be mediocre. God has placed us here to be and do so much more. My motivation is within me, daily…I motivate myself to push as far away as I can from bouts of depression and anxiety simply because we don't have what others say is needed to succeed.

4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
Although I have a few role models that I look to for a variety of reasons, I would have to say Tiffany and Walter Powell. They aren't just giants in this industry, but giants in the real life day-to-day world. They have shown me that guidance isn't just about speaking to a person and giving directions, but literally showing them the step-by-step real version. In them I have found "real," real people with real problems with real solutions that have always led to real gratitude and real appreciation. Through rough times and good times, they are steady with being "real" even when it was not flattering. A true role model can show you what it's like when you’re winning and when you’re learning because there is no losing...not when it comes to role modeling.

5. The three words that describe you best are:
Understanding, Loyal, and Charismatic.

6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would it be?
Find "belief.” Whatever it takes, how ever long it takes, find it! Without BELIEF in your life you will struggle, like the hamster in the wheel, running and running and getting nowhere!! If you don't believe in yourself at first, find someone to believe in and run with them and find your belief on the way.

7. What does your life look like five years from now?
Five years from now, I plan on being in a position of abundance, in order to give those who were just like me, struggling but full of the desire and wanting to be better, to give more. Owner of a gym in order to help women who struggle with weight but cannot afford to be in the "chain" gym. Basically creating the next level of legacy for my family. As Mr. Donald Bradley likes to say, "Make it, Save it, Use it to pay your bills, Invest it."

MEET 20/20 CLUB MEMBER VANESSA GASKINS!

Gaskins_Vanessa.jpg

PlanNet Marketing is pleased to welcome Vanessa Gaskins to the 20/20 Club! Vanessa is a native from the Republic of Panama, and currently lives in Roswell, Georgia. She is a former bilingual teacher who relocated from South Carolina. After moving to Georgia, she decided to make a career change and entered into the technology field. She is a wife, a mother to three adult children, and a grandmother of two.

Vanessa tells us, “I am blessed to serve in both the Usher Ministry as well as the Nursing Home Ministry at my church. Both of my sons are professional international basketball players; I enjoy attending most of their games and thoroughly enjoy the game of basketball in general. I also like working out regularly at the gym and I love to travel.

“My family and I have always loved to travel and we take advantage of every opportunity we get to visit other countries. Learning about other cultures fascinates me! I have traveled to several cities in Mexico, as well as Hawaii, St. Maarten, Grand Cayman, St Lucia, St Kitts, Jamaica, Virgin Islands, St. Thomas, Puerto Rico, and I travel back and forth to the Panama Republic.

“My journey with PlanNet Marketing has been amazing! The introduction to the business came at a time when I was transitioning between jobs. I love helping people, teaching, and learning and PlanNet gave me an opportunity to stretch my abilities. I am achieving success by remaining coachable, staying plugged in to the source, and surrounding myself with like-minded people.

“I consider myself a people person, so "teamwork" is not a foreign word to me. I embrace the process and understand that teamwork truly makes the dream work! I have an amazing team that trusts me and relies on my leadership. I am committed to be there with them every step of the way as they go through the process. I want my whole team to win. I lead by example, that's why I only make "Boss Moves.”

MEET 20/20 CLUB MEMBER ALLISON LOUIS!

Louis_Allison.jpg

PlanNet Marketing is pleased to welcome Allison Louis to the 20/20 Club! Allison is from Plainfield, New Jersey and has been married for almost seven years. She is the only child of a brick mason and retired high school vice principal. She has worked in the field of healthcare IT at a local medical center for 28 years.

Allison says, “I enjoy cruising with my family, relaxing, and housekeeping chores (odd as it may sound). I started traveling my senior year in high school. Our class trip was to Switzerland and Italy and I was hooked after that. My first cruise was with Richard Simmons’ Cruise to Lose way, way back.

“I am achieving success by first connecting with people one on one, then finding out what they are in need of, and then filling that in with the business. Also being patient with people and remembering how I was in the beginning.

“I enjoy attending my church of over 15 years, Agape Family Worship Center in Rahway, NJ.”

COMPLIANCE CORNER

Amanda-Restivo175.jpg

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Are you beginning to count down the days? My kids are using a paper chain to count towards December 25th this year. Our evenings are filled with candy canes, hot cocoa and the Grinch. While many of us are happily anticipating holiday parties, fun with family and friends, goodies and gifts, the holiday season can also be downright tough. The loss of a job, a home, or a loved one can make an otherwise merry & bright season, into a dreary, depressing one. Share some love and some light – share PlanNet Marketing! It may be the glimmer of hope that some people are looking for right now.

The holidays are prime time for sales and specials and coupons GALORE. I know it can be tempting to do the same for your business. Please do not come up with your own “sales” or “offers” granting advantages in pricing that PlanNet Marketing is not offering. We don’t allow our Reps to offer special enticement advertising or pricing. You must only advertise and sell ITAs at company published prices.

If you have any questions about your Rep business or our Policies and Procedures, please email me directly at Compliance@plannetmarketing.com.
