MEET 20/20 CLUB MEMBER LAUREN BARNES!

Lauren-Barnes-2020-Announce.jpg

PlanNet Marketing is pleased to welcome Lauren Barnes to the 20/20 Club! Lauren is from North Wales, UK and is 27 years old. She shares, “I had been in the business just over three months when I made the 20/20 Club. I joined after an amazing lady told me all about the business, and because I am so passionate about the travel industry, for me it was a no-brainer!

“My favourite place to travel to is the Caribbean, Jamaica being my favourite, perhaps because I got engaged there – or the jerk chicken & chilled vibes! I also love a European city break, Rome being my favourite.

“I am building a successful business because of my passion for the product and also for following all of the amazing training that is given to me. My top tips are to be open-minded; CONSISTENCY IS KEY; keep on going and even if it gets tough, push through; and let people see the real you by showing your lifestyle via your platform.

“Fun fact – I have not gone live on my social media yet. I have been putting this off since I started; however, that is my next step!

“I have always been quite a shy person; however, this business is not only helping me financially, but it’s also helping to develop my confidence! I’m so, so excited to see where this business can take me. I’m dedicated, motivated and will do anything I can to make my dreams my reality.”

MEET 20/20 CLUB MEMBER SALADA MACK!

2020club2_mack.jpg

PlanNet Marketing is pleased to welcome Salada Mack to the 20/20 Club!  Salada is a native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and graduated from Druid High School in 1977, and is an identical twin. She tells us, “ I attended Tennessee State University for two years, and transferred to Spelman College in Atlanta. I am a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. I graduated in 1982 in Early Childhood Education. After graduation, I worked for the United Methodist Children’s Home in Decatur, GA for three years. Prior to returning home, I worked for 20 years in corporate America as a Client Relation Manager. I returned home in October 2006. In December 2006, I worked at FIS, in Northport, Alabama for five years, until I was laid off.

“I serve as the Chaplin for Eta Xi Omega Graduate Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. As a minister of the gospel, I have a heart for helping and empowering people. Most people do not know that I love acting and have been in some local plays in Tuscaloosa.

“In March 2016, a young lady shared some powerful information with me about an online business opportunity. I have always known that in order to get ahead in life, you must be in business for yourself. I was looking for something to supplement my income along with substitute teaching, but I did not want to start another job. I was open to looking at the information, and when I saw where I could earn more, travel more and experience more through an online travel business, it just made sense to me to position myself in the largest industry in the world, because I love to travel and love helping people. My passion for travel came at an early age, because my parents opened the world of travel up for me and my siblings. I have travelled to many places in the world and in the US, including Accra, Ghana; Bangkok, Thailand; South Kerala, India; Amsterdam; Malaysia; London; the Caribbean; Orlando; Tennessee; North and South Carolina; Minnesota; Kentucky; Indiana; Ohio; Chicago; and Salt Lake City.

“The key to achieving success in PlanNet Marketing is to stay focused and stay plugged in to the trainings. Believe in yourself, never give up, and keep fighting for yourself and your team. You must stay persistent and duplicate what you see your leaders are doing, but most of all never quit. One fun piece of advice is to “enjoy life and travel.”

MEET 20/20 CLUB MEMBER NATASHA SHANNON!

2020club2_shannon.jpg

PlanNet Marketing is pleased to welcome Natasha Shannon to the 20/20 Club! She says, “I’m Tash and I grew up in London, but now live in Hertfordshire in the UK. I have a love of holidays and social media, so once I found out I could combine the two, I was sold. I am very girly, a dog lover and I have a background in acting, so for me a 9-5 was never an option. I love working for myself on my own terms and am so passionate about sharing that with others! I’ve been very fortunate to have travelled all through my life and my love for travel started at a very young age. I have visited 37 countries so far and counting, and my favourite place is the Maldives!

“I think the key to success is resilience and consistency. When I first started as an at home Travel Agent, I booked travel for myself and others. After falling in love with the business, I couldn’t wait to show others how to do it too and decided to join PlanNet Marketing as a Rep. My biggest advice would be, when you get knocked down, always get back up stronger. That’s something I’ve always known, as my acting background was a very competitive industry; so I think learning that early on has helped me a lot. My proudest moment was booking travel for a celebrity client!”

MEET 20/20 CLUB MEMBER ALEASHA STEVENS!

Aleasha-Stevens-2020-Banner.jpg

PlanNet Marketing is pleased to welcome Aleasha Stevens to the 20/20 Club! She says, “Growing up in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA I envisioned two things: teaching and living in France. Unfortunately, as a single mom, teaching barely put food on the table. So, I left the classroom to become a trainer, pre-sales engineer, and marketer for an edtech company. Climbing that ladder led me to the vice presidency of a school accreditation organization where I experienced more financial freedom but little time freedom, so I took a leap of faith to become a full-time entrepreneur. Now, with PlanNet Marketing, I can still coach, train, and develop people while traveling the world!

“My love for travel was sparked in my senior year of high school as a foreign exchange student in Paris. In college, I studied abroad in ten countries throughout South America, Asia, and Africa, where I also had the opportunity to go on a safari with my mother while she was living in Saudi Arabia for ten years. Later, my corporate travels took me to Japan, the UK, and every state in the US except Alaska. However, my thirst for France could not be quenched, even after taking a sabbatical to teach there.

“While I have decades of transferable skills and expertise from other industries, I had to humble myself and recognize that I don’t know jack (excuse my French) about the travel industry. So, any time our leadership recommends a book, Amazon makes a sale. When they say, “do this” I do that. Get plugged in: ✓. Make a list: ✓. Get more nos: ✓. Pique, show, and 3-way: ✓✓✓.  My stance is this: I’ll do exactly what you say is right unless it’s proven wrong. So far, they’ve never steered me wrong.

“Ultimately, it’s my love of reading, traveling, and learning that makes this work feel more like a vacation because, as they say, “when you do what you love, you’ll never have to work a day in your life.”

COMPLIANCE CORNER

Scary-truths-2020.jpg

Here’s more "Scary Truths from PlanNet Marketing." The truth about following the Policies and Procedures and remaining legal and ethical in your business dealings can be very scary, but with a few tips and a healthy dose of knowledge, your PlanNet Marketing business won’t elicit fear in the hearts of you or your business partners.

Keep Your Account Active, Pay Your Monthly Fee

It was a dark, stormy Thursday morning, a commission payment day, and somehow you missed paying your PlanNet Marketing monthly account fee of $19.95! *screams of fright* “NOOOOOOO!”

To enjoy all the benefits of being a Rep with PlanNet Marketing, you must remain active by paying your monthly account fee of $19.95. If you don’t pay your monthly fee, you risk missing out on commissions!!! And even more scary, you risk losing your business. *GASP* Yes, it’s true!!!

An inactive Rep is no longer eligible to receive weekly commissions.  A Rep who is inactive for 30 days or more is no longer eligible to earn residual commissions. A Rep who allows their business to remain inactive for 60 days or more will lose all rights to their downline and Matrix position. If that Rep doesn’t reactivate within the 60-day grace period, PlanNet Marketing considers their account cancelled and their agreement with PlanNet is expired.  We monitor for inactive accounts and turn them off weekly. The Rep who owned the now canceled account must re-enroll (under the same sponsor) and begin building their team from scratch. Ranks or qualifications from the old account do not transfer to the new one. SO SCARY!!! But, it’s true.PlanNet Marketing is working to protect the Personal Freedom, Time Freedom and Financial Freedom of each and every one of our Reps. If PlanNet allowed Reps to hold onto inactive positions indefinitely, the networking model would fail. In order to protect those Reps who are active and fulfilling their agreements, and protect our Matrix, we must enforce the active renewal of each Rep account.

THE LEADERSHIP SPOTLIGHT SHINES ON: SABRINA KNAPP

Sabrina-Spotlight-Oct16.jpg

1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family; hobbies; past business highlights...
I was born and raised in a small town in Southeast Iowa. My town has a population of 444 people and our nearest city is only 28,000. I have been married almost 15 years. I have three children (two step and one biological) and two grandchildren. My husband and I have owned and operated a restaurant for the last 11 years, and about a year and a half ago, I side-stepped and started this business. It has taken off and grown! We also do photography and we are building that business as well. The travel and the photography pair nicely together and we are really creating something great!

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
I honestly didn't plan on joining PlanNet. I always say that I kind of "fell into it.” I purchased an ITA, becoming an at home travel agent, and within a few weeks, I had people wanting to know what I was doing. I joined PlanNet and the rest is history. I grew to Director just over my year mark. I've grown SO much as a leader. I have an amazing team who are willing to learn and try to be very coachable. They are always open to my ideas and we love to try new things. They know that I'm always working on something in the background...they just wait for the word. ;)

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
My family drives me, but my freedom motivates me. Because my husband and I have owned our own business for a very long time, I've been without a boss for several years. I can't stand the thought of ever working under someone again. I know that when my teammates come to me, with that same "want"...I can feel their pain. I know that they mean business. Once you have a taste of what it’s like to not work FOR someone, and set your own hours and make your own money and call your own shots....it's so freeing, and that is the ultimate in motivation!

4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
I have a lot of role models and all for different reasons. Instead of naming names, I will say that my role model is someone who ultimately creates a better life, and a better situation for themselves...simply because they know they deserve better. There is a certain type of drive from a person that can see fault in what they are doing and want to change it so badly that they will risk anything to better themselves. Those are my kind of people! Some of the hardest working people I know come from simply proving THEY are worth it, to themselves!

5. The three words that describe you best are:
Determined, a Leader, and Loyal.

6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would it be?
Life is so short. There are so many people who forget that you only get one to live. If you are going to build a business, then don't stop until it's what you want. If you are going to be a leader, be the best one you've ever seen. This opportunity in front of us allows us to prove ourselves in so many different ways. We can be better people, better leaders, better business owners. Do not waste time sitting and letting others lead you...take the reins and make this business what YOU want out of it. Leadership is prospective. If you can't find a good one...go be a good one! Don't waste time waiting for others to lead!

7. What does your life look like five years from now?
My husband and I are looking to be free of our restaurant. We actually just want the simple things in life. We are looking to go back to only working for and with ourselves. We'd like to move, we'd like to financially be able to relax, and we'd love to travel more (yes, more than we already do! ;)

MEET 20/20 CLUB MEMBER KIMYATTA HARPER!

PlanNet Marketing is pleased to welcome Kimyatta Harper to the 20/20 Club! Kimyatta is from Detroit, MI, where she currently resides. She says she has been married for 20 years to her wonderful husband and they have three amazing children, two boys and one girl, ages 20, 17 and 12. She tells us, “I enjoy helping people in my current position at a major utility company here in Detroit, as well as in my surrounding community. A few of my favorite things to do that bring me joy are reading, spending time with my family, volunteering in my community and of course, travel. I come from a family of travelers for military and leisure purposes, so I have continued that passion with my children.

“A few things that I can attribute to my success so far are continuous self-development, especially if you are striving to be a leader; positive thoughts; affirmations; and showing daily gratitude. Don’t be afraid to be coached by those who have paved the way, because there is nothing for you to invent...the blueprint is available! Last but not least, be selfless! Truly gain a passion to help people and show them that what you have to offer can improve their lives.

“No one would know this, but I am shy and am considered an introvert, but my passion and drive for success is stronger. When you truly begin to visualize putting that jacket on and adding stars to it, absolutely nothing will keep you from it! Align your mindset to that which you dream about and watch it come to life!”

Here’s more "Scary Truths from PlanNet Marketing." Know the Rules, TEACH the Rules

*BRRRING, BRRRING* The phone rings and it’s your new team member, the one who was so excited to get started and just sold their first ITA. They got an email from PlanNet Marketing Compliance because they broke a rule and they have until tomorrow at noon to reply. Even worse, the Rep is telling you that they did EXACTLY what you taught them to do, and it’s not compliant. What do you do now!? *Duh, duh, DUUUUUUUUUUH*

Here at PlanNet Marketing, we advocate a business that is compliant and duplicatable – follow the rules and teach others to do the same. Step one is always to KNOW the rules yourself. Step two is to TEACH your team!

How are your teaching skills? Are you uninformed about PlanNet’s Policies and Procedures and unknowingly teaching your bad habits to your team? What if you are teaching your team to BREAK THE RULES and you don’t even know it!?

Per our Policies and Procedures, every Rep is responsible for knowing and following our rules. But Reps are also responsible for training their team! Don’t duplicate your business until you’re confident that you understand and are following the rules.

If you or a member of your team gets an email from PlanNet Marketing Compliance, it can feel scary. Just be responsible and respectful in your response and we will be respectful and as helpful as we can. The PlanNet Marketing team is ON YOUR SIDE! We want you to succeed. If you got an email, it’s probably just asking for you to make a change to become compliant. Please make sure you respond to the email in a timely fashion. There’s no need to call your upline Director and have them call in and speak to me. You are responsible for your business and the best way to take responsibility is to own up to your mistake (whether you knew it was wrong or not) and then learn from it and move forward. In matters of compliance, it is important for the Company to have a written record of the matter. Yes, it can feel scary – but together we can take your business out of the spooky shadows and into the light of complete compliance.
