THE LEADERSHIP SPOTLIGHT SHINES ON: CRYSTAL BODIE SMITH
1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family; hobbies; past business highlights...
I was born and raised in New York City. Currently out of my family of five, only my sister and I are left. I have three daughters, a grandson, and a young lady I raised as a daughter with her children who is my honorary daughter. I am paving the way and showing all my daughters how to be a legend in their time. Currently, I am a Community Hope Catalyst who aids organizations and companies in North Carolina and the surrounding area to assist people in need. My mission is to stir up the gifts, instill hope, and save lives. This business helps me, the Co-Founder, and Hope Partners work in collaboration with my non-profit 501(c)(3) Capital City Hope Foundation.
My business highlights are Gold Plus, Gold Maker, 20/20 Club, and One-Star Director. Understand I started out swiftly but I took my eyes off because of many very life-altering situations. Being in network marketing for the first time, I had to learn how to manage both simultaneously. Now I am working on rebuilding and I had to start over. I am still encouraged. This vision is one that can help any family have sustainable income for a lifetime if done right. It has made me stronger and now I will help others to never stop! I am working diligently to grow and empower my team to grow so we can all make an impact in our community.
2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
I have grown emotionally and mentally. I also had to learn to be coachable. I truly never understood it completely. I am still perfecting it even more so I can be more effective as a leader; therefore, I am still learning daily. I had to begin talking less and listening more. And I had to learn to wait before I could be used in this business as a leader because I am new to this industry. At first I didn’t know and I had to get out of my way, and this took me a while. I truly had to get into two books that helped me tremendously: The Power of Focus and Emotional Intelligence both helped me to shift overall. The Founder and our leaders encourage us to read and grow daily. When people listen, plug in and use the system, they will reap the benefits.
As people join my team now, I stress the importance of reading and give them a blueprint to follow, which was provided to me. It begins with learning about network marketing (the industry) first. I am grateful for the experience because now I can genuinely help others and have a clear understanding of their plight and offer wisdom and experience with specific directions and goals in mind.
3. What drives you; what motivates you?
What motivates me is my desire for personal freedom, to be able to leave a legacy, and be a change agent in the world. Being an orphan now, it truly is of importance. My parents left me a small inheritance and it has ignited a fire in me to do the same. PlanNet Marketing is giving us all the opportunity to make this a reality. We must all make the necessary adjustments over and over again and just do it!
4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
My role model is my sponsor/upline and mentor, Two-Star Director Dennese Douglas. I know the challenges she has faced and watched her fight tirelessly and never lose hope. She is the perfect example of a phenomenal and resilient woman and leader. She is pure, genuine, unselfish, compassionate, strong, knowledgeable, and she cares about people.
5. The three words that describe you best are:
Catalyst, Personable, and Compassionate.
6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would it be?
First let me say you must submit to leadership and forget all you know. Even if you were the most knowledgeable person, qualified, and certified. In this industry, you must start fresh in order to really get the best results. Learn about the personality color types and master how to build relationships with people based on a person’s personality color and their needs. Learn how to listen and become a problem solver.
When the going gets tough and you find yourself alone or falling, if you stay plugged into this system, you are not alone! Be sincere and honest. Make a decision and commit to it! Regroup, recharge, reshift and begin again with even more determination and velocity. Remove all distractions and negative people who do not help you reach your goals, family or friends included. Communicate your goals to them and stick to it and they will respect you in the end when you become the evidence.
Never let anyone steal your dreams and aspirations. Realize it may not be easy; however, it will be well worth it when you achieve your goal. We all have a predestined purpose. Find it, tap into it, and use it to impact lives. Get used to encouraging yourself and taking constructive criticism and grow from it. Welcome it and do not take it personally, except to change the behaviors and habits. You will go from being the caterpillar to a butterfly in PlanNet Marketing and fly with your beautiful colors.
7. What does your life look like five years from now?
Retired, top leader in PlanNet Marketing. Traveling around the world helping families as needed.
PLANNET MARKETING WELCOMES LAURA JOYCE TO THE 40/40 CLUB!
MEET NEW 40/40 CLUB MEMBER AMBER WASHINGTON!
PlanNet Marketing is proud to welcome Amber Washington to the 40/40 Club! Amber is a wife, mother of two boys, Ronald Jr. and Rhys, has a full-time job, and is an entrepreneur. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and meeting new people. Amber tells us, “I've been part of the best place on the PlanNet since January 2019 and it's been an amazing journey. Being in this business has allowed me to meet so many people; I love introducing others to this business. Any time you can take your passion and get paid for it, you're winning! With God, I know that I will continue to grow and be successful in this business.
“In this business, I learned early on that if you want to be successful, you must be consistent. How does one remain consistent?
Pay your monthly fee: Never miss a payment. When you are not active in your business, it shows inconsistency and you won't grow.
Actively participate on calls and at events: When on calls, don't just dial in, have your pen and paper ready and take notes. Go back and read the notes after the call, allow them to resonate. What action items resulted from the call? Put them into action within 24 hours.
Stay coachable and humble: Stay connected to your sponsor. Take their constructive criticism and learn from it so you can grow and get to the next level.
Read: Always have a development book in your possession that you're reading. You should learn and develop every single day.
‘Stay ready so you don't have to get ready’: I've heard this quote over and over again in this business and it is so true. When you're ready for success, you don't have to get ready for it.
“Let's stay consistent and close out 2020 stronger than ever!”
PLANNET MARKETING WELCOMES TWO NEW 20/20 CLUB MEMBERS!
Each week we will list the new 20/20 Club Members as soon as their pictures are received so that their recognition will be timely. The personal 20/20 Club features will continue; currently there are many 20/20 Club Members who have sent in their bios, but due to the growing number, have not yet been featured in the blog. Watch for your bio in future editions of PlanNetNow!
Recognition is very important and we hope this new format shows how much we value our 20/20 Club Members! Congratulations to everyone who has achieved this very important level in your PlanNet business!
MEET 20/20 CLUB MEMBER RYAN JENKINS!
PlanNet Marketing is pleased to welcome Ryan Jenkins to the 20/20 Club! Ryan tells us he is from a small town called North, SC and currently lives with his wife and two beautiful children in Columbia, SC. He says, “I love to cook; I have my own catering business called Roscoe’s Grill. I love to travel with my family. My wife and I have been able to take 20 vacations so far and we are going to take a lot more because of the amazing opportunity that Mr. Bradley has created for us.
“I’ve been able to achieve such great success in this industry because I’m just following the blueprint that Mr. Bradley created – I’m not trying to recreate something – just following the proven success system. So if you want to see success just follow the blueprint that’s already been given to you!
“A fun fact: I love playing basketball in my spare time.”
MEET 20/20 CLUB MEMBER JODIAN PANTRY BROOKS!
PlanNet Marketing is pleased to welcome Jodian Pantry Brooks to the 20/20 Club! Jodian shares, “I am a 31-year-old international recording artiste, charity foundation owner, vocal coach, philanthropist, event planner and travel business owner. I am from the parish of Clarendon, Jamaica. Traveling has always been a passion of mine. Growing up in a poor family and being gifted with a talent for singing surely brought me to a few places overseas to showcase my gift; however, since being part of the PlanNet Marketing family and adding travel business owner to my accomplishments, I am excited to begin seeing other parts of the world.
“Making the decision to be on the best PlanNet ever has caused an unexpected 360 degree turn for my financial good! I still wake up pinching myself every morning when I check my financial standings to see how far I am, wondering if PlanNet is indeed a REAL place! And hey, it IS real!! PlanNet Marketing has been outdoing itself – what PlanNet Marketing says it does for peoples’ lives is surely what it does and more. So far, what I have been learning while earning through this prestigious business has been helping me to be strong mentally, to be a great leader, to take rejections with humility and a smile, to never ever give up and to win always.
“Everyone has a different approach when dealing with their potential prospects. One of the things I always do is to be REAL with people by sharing my testimony of where I am coming from, and where I am now. Then I move on to tapping into their minds and hearts by helping these individuals who are living from paycheck to paycheck, to see where they can also be through my testimony. This way, I am helping to develop critical thinkers and more independent minds to need more and to go for more. I remind people that no matter how much they think they have financially, it can never be too much. Lastly, I let them know PlanNet Marketing is a blessing waiting to send a financial downpour upon their lives.
“A fun fact: I enjoy traveling and teaching my vocal classes.”
COMPLIANCE CORNER
The PlanNet Marketing Rep who sells the InteleTravel home-based Independent Travel Agency (or “ITA”) business earns a direct sales commission.
It’s rewarding. It’s fun. It’s social. It’s TRAVEL!
So, we all know the idea is to SELL the ITA, right? You can do a presentation, advertise on your social media page, or have one-on-one conversations with prospects. No matter how you sell it, WHAT should you say? What shouldn’t you say? Let’s have some real talk!
When a PlanNet Marketing Rep wants to sell an ITA, they should:
1. Talk about the income opportunity. Tell people how a Travel Agent earns money – by selling travel! “When you become an InteleTravel Agent, you can sell travel to anyone. Book cruises, vacations, hotels, all-inclusive resorts, tours, airline tickets, car rentals and more. You’ll earn a commission based on the travel you sell.”
2. Talk about the travel industry. Let’s be honest – this year has been TOUGH on the travel industry! But travel will return, and it’s already happening! “The right travel advisor does more than help plan trips. They help find the right places at the right time. This year has fundamentally changed the way we travel. Do you need insurance? Where can you go? How do you find destinations that are open? InteleTravel advisors are experts in their field and can help you navigate all those questions and more. With InteleTravel, stress less and explore more.”
3. Talk about earning a commission on what people are doing anyway. “No matter where a trip is booked, there is a commission built into the price. Send customers to your travel booking website. Customer books travel. InteleTravel pays YOU the commission. You, your family, and friends will never pay more for a trip. Plus, you earn the commission when you become a travel agent!”
4. Talk about a free education! “New skills are a click away. No boring book stuff here. InteleTravel offers Agents exciting opportunities to increase their knowledge about the travel industry. These educational tools include weekly webinars, conference calls and destination events, such as Seminars-at-Sea. They’re all optional, but extremely helpful. They also offer FREE certification as a DreamMaker, VacationBuilder, and TravelGenius!”
Those are all amazing ways to talk about the ITA and InteleTravel. But sometimes PlanNet Reps say the WRONG things when selling this fantastic business product. So, here is a list of things you should avoid when selling the ITA travel business:
– Don’t talk about perks, agent rates, discounts or savings. There are some distinct advantages afforded to Travel Agents, but you should NEVER sell ITAs based on benefits or special pricing. That’s like bribing the prospect – it’s non-compliant and will most certainly cause problems for PlanNet Marketing and for InteleTravel.
– Don’t talk about FAM trips or use vendor names. Travel vendors want agents to visit them and learn more about their property, but they do NOT like it when other companies use the vendor's name or offerings to try to sell another company's product. In other words, you cannot name drop a big-name vendor to get someone to buy an ITA from you – that’s a no-no!
– Don’t talk about yourself as an Agent. You might be an ITA. Many PlanNet Marketing Reps do see the value in the ITA product they sell and choose to buy it themselves! But when you are selling the ITA – you’re acting as a PlanNet Marketing Rep. Period. Only a Rep can sell the ITA! You should ALWAYS identify yourself as a PlanNet Rep when presenting and selling ITAs. And you should only identify yourself as a Travel Agent if you are selling someone a travel booking through your InteleTravel ITA website (we are two separate businesses!)
Selling ITAs is a rewarding, fun and social business that our Reps can do part-time, full-time, or anytime! Reps have the opportunity to pursue freedom, flexibility, and financial independence all on their own schedule and at their own pace. Let’s all follow these helpful guidelines to ensure a fair and compliant image of PlanNet Marketing and InteleTravel!
