PlanNet Reps are NOT Travel Experts - and that's OK

PlanNet Marketing Reps are amazing marketers – their job is to sell the InteleTravel ITA product. The Rep should have some knowledge about the product they sell, but they won't give specific directions for booking travel, earning travel commissions or other travel-related matters. If you buy a car from a car dealership, the salesman can give you some basic information about the car, but they won't give you step-by-step instructions on changing the oil or fixing the transmission, because that isn't their job.

The InteleTravel Agent should know about booking travel, earning travel commissions, completing various levels of certification, etc. I know that many PlanNet Reps are ALSO InteleTravel Agents – why? They see the value of the product they are selling. That doesn't mean that every person who is a Rep and an Agent is a travel expert or is booking travel actively for others. There are also some Reps who choose NOT to be Agents. There are also some Agents who choose to only sell travel and not pursue a Rep business with PlanNet Marketing.  That is each person's choice – each person can choose to be a Rep only, an ITA/Agent only, or both (or neither, obviously).

Reps – make sure you’re supporting your team of Reps and offering support as you are able to anyone who has purchased an at-home travel agency from you.

If you aren’t a travel expert and you have new Agents who have purchased an ITA from you who are looking for expert help and advice – make sure you help them get what they need. Connect them with another Rep on your team who is a Rockstar Agent as well, or connect them with the expert staff at InteleTravel.

If your downline Reps need help building, training, presenting, advertising, etc. – show them the steps to take to make their efforts successful. If you don’t know those steps – talk to your sponsor or your upline Director. There is always someone ready and willing to assist. As always, PlanNet Marketing’s fabulous S-Team (Support Team) is available to help too.

Whether you’re a travel expert or travel novice – you can still sell this amazing product, earn commissions, and grow a successful team. We’re all here to help. Success is worth the effort. You can do this!

TWO SIDES OF THE SAME COIN?

A Very Important Compliance Message

Amanda-Restivo175.jpg

I see it every day, some well-meaning Rep out there talking about “two sides of the business” and really trying to say TWO BUSINESSES. The PlanNet Marketing Rep business is not a “side” to anything – it is a business in and of itself, and it is YOUR business. If you are reading this article right now, you are almost assuredly a PlanNet Marketing Rep who is selling ITAs and enrolling other Reps to earn residual income and supplement your lifestyle.

So, what’s the other “side”? Why, the travel side of course! But it isn’t really a “side” either – it’s a completely separate business too. The InteleTravel at home Travel Agent is someone who books travel and earns commissions on those bookings.

The confusion happens because there are a growing number of individuals who are BOTH PlanNet Reps and InteleTravel Agents. However, there is significant danger in confusing these two partner companies as being one business. We are not one – we are two separate businesses with independent and separate management. Our businesses operate in two completely different industries. We are not two sides of the same coin – we are two complete coins, each with our own value.

Each week I write an article for PlanNet Reps, sharing some insight about our Policies or requesting some action from each of you to remain compliant with those Policies. In recent weeks I have addressed the following topics:

  • PlanNet Marketing’s Code of Ethics and behaving professionally

  • Where Reps and ITAs must live in order to work their two businesses

  • Hiding from Compliance Matters instead of dealing with them

  • Submitting your websites and materials for review by Compliance

Each of these topics come back to one central idea – every Rep is enthusiastic about working their business and becoming a success, but most Reps will, inadvertently, at some point or other, make a compliance mistake and violate PlanNet Marketing’s policies. Not because they want to break the rules, but because they have a great idea and they don’t realize their excitement is clouding their vision.

Here are some classic examples of enthusiasm gone wrong:

1)  If you’re posting about your business daily in online forums or social media – you’re enthusiastic.

  • If you’re calling yourself a “travel agent” and asking others to “join you,” you are non-compliant.

  • Agents don’t sell ITAs – only PlanNet Marketing Reps can sell ITAs.

2)  If you’re speaking to a new prospect and they seem very interested in buying an ITA from you – you’re enthusiastic.

  • If you fail to ask them where they’re living, or you encourage them to use a friend’s or family member’s address while they are temporarily living outside our open markets – you are non-compliant.

  • Reps and ITAs must live in a country where our businesses are legally allowed to operate.

3)  If you’re getting a ton of responses from your recent ad to “Become an at home travel agent” – you’re enthusiastic.

  • If you’re posting that advertisement on a Job Posting website or group – you are non-compliant

  • PlanNet Marketing does not offer employment, and so we do not allow our Reps to advertise the sale of the ITA in job listing forums or websites.

4)  If you’re creating your very own website to grow your Rep business – you’re enthusiastic.

  • If you’re using PlanNet Marketing’s name, logo, videos or a link to our website on your own – you are non-compliant

  • All content created by Reps must be approved by PlanNet Marketing’s Compliance department and should not contain the PlanNet Marketing name, logo, or proprietary information.

THE PLANNET MARKETING SPOTLIGHT SHINES ON: TOYAH BRENT

Annotation 2020-09-03 165308.jpg

1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family; hobbies; past business highlights...
I was born in Jackson, Mississippi, and am currently residing in Atlanta, Georgia. I've been a Vice President in corporate America for the last 23 years. I have three wonderful children and one beautiful grandchild. Of course my favorite hobby is traveling...but I also enjoy reading and spending time with family and friends.

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
My personal development over the last three years has been unbelievable. My posture and confidence when it comes to sharing this business is through the roof. I used to have concerns that my "successful" peers would not get it...but now my desire to be the evidence is so much greater than anyone's perception.

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
Having the ability to give my children OPTIONS drives me. I went to school, got the degrees and that great job...but never felt like I had options to pursue whatever my heart's interests were because of the need for financial stability.

4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
Definitely my father. His ‘stick-to-it-ness’ has always motivated me. His drive is like no other. I have always appreciated that about him. If I can take a small amount of that and apply to my business the sky's the limit. On those days that I'm fighting the attrition and not feeling like doing the presentation or the no's have come fast and firm...I reflect on him and get back to it.

5. The three words that describe you best are:
Three words that best describe me are Happy, Compassionate, and Resilient.

6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would it be?
Don't let fear, complacency, or other's opinions deter you. Work as hard as you have worked for others.... FOR YOURSELF. Don't quit...it's the only way to fail in this business.

7. What does your life look like five years from now?
Traveling with my family and still helping as many people as possible get the time, personal and financial freedom we all deserve.

MEET FOUR 20/20 CLUB MEMBERS!

MEET 20/20 CLUB MEMBER MARIA RICHARDSON!

Maria-Richardson-2020-Article.jpg

PlanNet Marketing is pleased to welcome Maria Richardson to the 20/20 Club! Maria is from Tacoma, Washington and currently lives in Warner Robins, GA. She tells us, “I am a wife, mother, and Hulmonee (grandmother in Korean). I love to have fun and laugh. I have been told that my laughter can be heard before I enter a room. I love to dance and eat and yes, sometimes at the same time!  I love to help people and I am known to be the counselor when people seek out advice. I live by a simple motto: ‘Make your memories today.’ This became very real to me when my Mother was diagnosed with dementia, so I do not take for granted any second that will allow me to create a memory with my family.

“I love traveling, spending time with family and friends, exploring new places and eating new food. I’ve been to Mexico, the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic, and Hawaii, just to name a few and I’m excited for my upcoming travel adventures!

“I am able to achieve success by keeping GOD first, remaining consistent, staying plugged in, and being GENUINELY excited about this business! What we do is exciting and others are able to see how excited my husband and I are about this business by sharing our travel adventures. The laughs, the food, and each moment we shared has piqued the desire for others to want to do what we are doing. I will help others by being an example and person of action.

“Some fun facts about myself: I enjoy riding motorcycles with my husband, scrapbooking, and writing poetry.”

MEET 20/20 CLUB MEMBER DENISE STEWART!

Denise-Stewart-2020-Article.jpg

PlanNet Marketing is pleased to welcome Denise Stewart to the 20/20 Club! Denise is originally from New Orleans, but now lives in Monroe, LA. She says, “My interests include traveling, spending time with my son, helping other people, being a better version of myself, focusing on my health, and focusing on the legacy that I’ll leave behind.

“I began traveling in 2017 which is when I took my very first cruise. It felt amazing and I was away from any responsibility and enjoyed the sense of luxury and freedom it rewarded me. Since then, I have cruised annually. I was introduced to this business in September 2018 and flew my first time to Eagle Weekend 2019 – the second time to Convention. I’ve visited Cozumel, Belize, Honduras, and Costa Maya via cruising, and my son flew for the first time to Colorado. We are both getting passport stamps soon through flying international for the first time.

“I’m achieving my success through consistency, plugging in, showing up, being coachable, and teachable. I find the need in others and let them know how this business will benefit them. Also, I am transparent about my journey so they are witnessing the evidence in me. My achievements have inspired my team from the downline, sideline, and upline to duplicate the things I do to achieve success. Also, I have an amazing team of leaders and mentors. My sponsor, Lakedra Gorman, and upline director, Lorie Banatte, have been a great contribution to my achievements thus far.

“A fun fact: I am 28 years old and plan to retire myself from corporate America in my thirties. I made a promise to leave a legacy behind for my son and to truly obtain freedom. Freedom is what I will obtain. I will continue to help others have the same opportunity and by default redeem the law of attraction in the legacy I will build for us through PlanNet Marketing.”

MEET 20/20 CLUB MEMBERS MICHAEL AND JEANNINE WIESE!

2020club2_wiese.jpg

PlanNet Marketing is pleased to welcome Jeannine and Michael Wiese to the 20/20 Club! Jeannine tells us, “Michael and I grew up in the South Bay area of Los Angeles, California. We currently live in southern Illinois. Our interests include lots of activities. We love kayaking, hiking, biking, exploring, science, networking, camping, and Disney.

“Our travel experiences growing up – I was in a lot of bowling tournaments that took me all over the United States but I have not been able to cross any oceans yet! Michael had little experience but he has been to states I have not, like Hawaii. My tournaments gave me the passion to explore more of this world where Mike’s imagination grew his passion to explore.

“Our tip to help you is to let the conversation flow between you and your future partners. They will open up and trust you when they sense that you care about what they are saying. Be genuine and be yourself.

“How did we succeed? By God's grace and not quitting. We just stayed consistent and continued to go forward. You attract what you are. If you are not liking what you attract then you must change to attract what you want.”

MEET 20/20 CLUB MEMBER STENENIKA WILLIAMS!

This business has truly allowed me to do just that AND I’m able to help other families not only experience travel but work their way towards financial freedom as well! Truly amazing!

The secret to manifestation is to believe it’s already done!
