LEADERSHIP SPOTLIGHT ON: JENNIFER SMITH

Spotlight-Jennifer-Smith.jpg

1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family; hobbies; past business highlights...
I was born in Oxford, OH and lived in Hamilton, OH until I was ten years old. We moved to Port Charlotte, FL and then moved to Venice, FL when I was 13 and moved to Findlay, OH when I was 16 years old. I now live in Van Buren, OH, which is a tiny town just outside of Findlay. I am a single mom of three teenage boys and have been a single mom for eight years now! I love spending time with my kids, attending all their sporting events and just hanging out fishing, boating and just watching them grow. So this business is perfect to be able to stay home and enjoy my time freedom with them.

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
I have grown so much as a leader with PlanNet. I have become more confident in myself and have been forced to come out of my comfort zone. I still have a lot of growing to do but I am loving the changes and progress so far!

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
My kids are what motivate me and keep me focused; also my team members. I want my team to see my accomplishments and know that if I can do this business, they can too!

4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
My twin sister is definitely a role model to me. We are best friends and I look up to her for advice every day. She was also a single mom and she raised an amazing daughter!

5. The three words that describe you best are:
Three words that I think describe me are…loyal, honest and committed.

6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would it be?
The best advice I can give someone is always treat others how you would want to be treated. And never, ever judge a book by its cover.

7. What does your life look like five years from now?
In five years my life will have changed drastically, all my kids will most likely be out of the house and on their way to making their dreams come true. I will definitely be traveling more and definitely be financially free!

MEET NEW ONE-STAR DIRECTOR LAWANDA BAKER!

levels.jpg

PlanNet Marketing congratulates new One-Star Director Lawanda Baker, who is a native of Jackson, TN, works in Birmingham and currently resides in Alabaster, Alabama.

An award-winning graphic designer, Lawanda is the epitome of art, saying, “I love art and all things creative.” Her artistic appetite only enhanced her love to explore. Being a travel business owner has allowed her to fulfill a lifelong dream - Lawanda and her daughter Laila traveled to Paris and the south of France for two weeks. Of course that is only the beginning, and they are excited to experience what the rest of the world has to offer.

“This is my first network marketing venture. I am having success and have gained an appreciation for an industry that I never thought I would find myself a part of.” Through exercising the tenets of network marketing, Lawanda has learned to achieve success by simply staying plugged in and remaining coachable. Though she is still very much a student of the industry and has many levels to reach, she eagerly and humbly shares a few tips she has learned along the way.

“Become a sponge; absorb everything you hear and see.  COPY your leader and their work patterns; DECIDE that you will become successful. Leaders are not born, they simply decide to lead, so make the decision and DO. And once you have made that decision, position yourself to be groomed into the best leadership version of yourself! My Coach, Mr. Moore, tells us that in order to function at a high level of leadership, you must not only coach, train and develop your team, but YOU must be OPEN to being coached, trained, and developed as well. Last but not least, never give up -  STICK and STAY!

“Here’s a fun fact:  When I first had the opportunity to actually meet Mr. Bradley, I was a proud Bronze Builder! I had been attending events and watching the leaders. I asked him to hold me accountable to ranking up by agreeing to take a selfie/picture with me at every level. At that time my vision was limited to becoming a Gold Builder. I was SUPER proud to take my One-Star selfie and my vision has expanded! So, Mr. Bradley…I am looking forward to a LOT more selfies in our future!

MEET NEW ONE-STAR DIRECTOR YOLANDA BENNETT!

Yolanda-Bennett-2star-writeup.jpg

PlanNet Marketing congratulates Yolanda Bennett for achieving One-Star Director! Yolanda was born and raised in Newark, NY by her dearly loved grandmother, who was her first mentor and role model for strength, courage, and consistency.

Yolanda tells us, “My interests are exploring new places and foods around the world, reading, and spending time with my two beautiful daughters. I have been to Jamaica, Bahamas, and Dominican Republic, but since becoming a travel business owner, my bucket list has expanded twofold.”

Yolanda shares these tips for her success,“I highly encourage everyone to stick to the system and always remain coachable. These two and a half years have been a process of growth and learning this profession of network marketing. You are going to experience the growing pains but it’s so worth it because the end result is freedom from all the struggles that made you launch your business in the first place. There isn’t anything else out there that will position you to free your family and leave a will vs. a bill for your family. Stick and stay and you will receive your pay.”

When asked about achieving success quickly, Yolanda says, “I wouldn’t say two and a half years was quick, but I will say it’s a short timeframe to work to give yourself a minimum $12K raise that will continue to grow “residually” as long as you focus on helping others. When you help people you are blessed by default.”

Fun fact: “Most people don’t know this about me, but I don’t love being the center of attention although I’m a social butterfly. I enjoy helping others but I’d rather do it from behind the scenes...lol.”

WELCOME TO THE 20/20 CLUB SHATAWANA JOHNSON!

2020club2_johnson.jpg

PlanNet Marketing is proud to welcome Shatawana Johnson to the 20/20 Club! Shatawana tells us, “I was born and raised in Fayetteville, NC but I now live in Greensboro, NC. I am the mother of three absolutely beautiful daughters who continue to push and motivate me to do more than even I thought possible. My interests includes reading, learning new things, travel (of course), and spending as much time with my family as I can. I have done some travel, but will definitely do more in the near future. My favorite is to be on a cruise ship visiting different places.

“My success with PlanNet Marketing is being coachable. I understand that I have not done this type of business before and how important it is to follow the lead of those with proven success. I am always sharing this wonderful opportunity with everyone I know and meet. It’s also important to me to stay plugged in and make the meetings, especially the conventions. To be around others who are doing what you are doing just takes my motivation to a higher level.

“A fun fact about me is that I am a hilarious person to be around. I love to see people happy and smiling and doing better, living better. This business has let me be myself, even while it stretched me to be better. I am doing things that I have always wanted to do, but just didn’t know how to make it happen and PlanNet Marketing has given me the vehicle to do those things, and I will forever be grateful.”

MEET NEW 20/20 CLUB MEMBERS HANNAH AND CRAIG PARKER!

2020club2_parker.jpg

PlanNet Marketing is proud to welcome Hannah and Craig Parker to the 20/20 Club. The Parkers are from Derby, United Kingdom. They have two sons - Lewis, 9 and Ellis, who is just 3 weeks old!

Their interests include socializing with friends, eating out and visiting new places. Travel experiences range from their amazing honeymoon to Mexico, numerous trips around Europe, and now an upcoming visit to Atlanta for this year’s PlanNet convention!

“Our journey since joining this business last July has been just brilliant. This is our first experience in network marketing and the friendships we’ve formed with fellow team members are so special and truly invaluable. The fact that we can now picture a future that creates true time and financial freedom is incredible!

“We are very close to achieving One-Star Director and have such a supportive team behind us. We love inspiring others to want to change their lives for the better and providing as much coaching and support as we can. We would absolutely advise to form strong relationships with your uplines and team, as you’ll all help each other to reach those goals!

“Trust your vision and don’t be afraid to dream big! If you’re having a ‘down day,’ go back to why you’re doing this in the first place. It’s all to play for and we’re so thankful for this opportunity!”

COMPLIANCE CORNER

Amanda-Restivo175.jpg

You own your own business – you are an Independent Marketing Representative for PlanNet Marketing. This means you make your own hours, do your own marketing and pay your own taxes. There’s no “time clock” or “hourly wage with tax withholding” or “employee handbook.” The time freedom, financial freedom, and personal freedom this arrangement affords is what draws so many of our Reps to start a business with PlanNet Marketing. But just because you’re in the business of you, doesn’t mean you’re all alone.

No business is an island!

Even when you own your own business, you are in partnership with others – other businesses and other people. Your behavior, your work ethic, your motivation or lack thereof, affect those others. To protect our Reps (you and your team as well as other Reps and their teams) and to protect PlanNet Marketing and InteleTravel – there are some rules we’ve put into place. These rules are the PlanNet Marketing Policies and Procedures.

Some of you have never been a business owner before. You may not think you should be required to follow the rules of other companies – PlanNet or InteleTravel. You may not be concerned with what others think of your social media posts or your website or your marketing materials. You may not even respond to requests for your attention to business matters. These are things that all business owners will learn eventually, but to help you out, I’m telling you today – those things are IMPORTANT to running a successful and prosperous business.

As a business owner with PlanNet Marketing, it is your responsibility to follow PlanNet’s rules and United States federal laws as well as any local laws for your country, region or city. Our rules begin by encouraging our Reps to always behave in a professional manner, putting forth their best effort to be positive, peaceful, and encouraging to those who they meet while doing PlanNet business. This means if you’re speaking to someone about PlanNet or its owners or employees or other Reps – you say kind, positive and professional things. Don’t cuss, don’t gossip, don’t air your negative feelings about a bad experience on social media.

Are you ALLOWED to do and say anything you please? Of course! You ARE the owner of your business. However, if you choose to conduct your business in an unprofessional way, not following rules, not behaving in an ethical manner, or choosing not to respond to requests for your attention to your business – there are consequences.  I won’t outline them all here today, but I would encourage you to view the “Disciplinary Sanctions” section of the Policies and Procedures. There you will find an extensive list of the consequences for not properly, professionally managing your business. As always, if you have questions about following the policies and procedures of PlanNet Marketing you can email me directly at compliance@plannetmarketing.com.

Owning a business can be a huge blessing; it can afford freedoms in your work life and personal life that you might not otherwise experience. But there are always rules, guidelines and best practices that will allow you to prosper as a business owner. Lean on those around you, encouraging them and showing them respect. In doing so you’ll find your business the center of a bursting metropolis, not a lonely island.

LEADERSHIP SPOTLIGHT ON: TWO-STAR DIRECTOR TANISHA BURKE

Tanisha-Burke-spotlight.jpg

1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family; hobbies; past business highlights...
I was born in Port Chester, NY and I currently live in Space Coast, FL. I have been married for 14 years to Andrew Burke and we have an eight-year old son named Jace. My hobbies include traveling, swimming, cooking, shopping, listening to old school R&B music, playing pool, and I love spending time with family and friends. Prior to joining PlanNet Marketing, I worked for over 20 years on the administrative side of the healthcare industry. I have also done a few other network marketing businesses in the past selling products and my husband and I have run a successful DJ business for the last 13 years.

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
Since joining PlanNet, I have learned that my purpose is to help people live a better life. I truly didn’t know what my purpose in life was until I joined this business. My ability to connect and communicate with all types of people has grown more than I could have ever imagined. My ability to stretch myself and others has increased and my vision has been expanded. My leadership skills continue to grow every single day as I read more and surround myself with other leaders in the business.

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
My family and the generations before me have always struggled financially and that cycle of lack ends with me. When I first joined the business I was motivated to retire myself early. I was able to achieve that in the first 20 months. After two years, I was able to help my best friend retire early. I want to continue to help those who have partnered with me achieve their goals. I am also motivated to retire my husband this year and to be able to financially support my mother.

4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
I have been blessed to have several role models over the years who have all made a deep impact on my life in one way or another. My mom has taught me how to stay spiritually grounded and my dad taught me entrepreneurship and was the one who first exposed me to traveling. There is no one person that I would say is my role model because I have learned from every single person who has been in my life, either for a season or for a reason. From some I’ve modeled what to do and from others I learned what not to do. All have helped me become the person I am today.

5. The three words that describe you best are:
Inspirational, Helpful and Driven.

6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would it be?
I once heard my sister in success say, “Don’t make excuses, make adjustments.” That has stuck with me and I continue to share that with all of my new business partners. The success system is in place and all you have to do is plug into it. The amount of time that it will take you to experience success is going to be based on where you are with your own personal development. Some people don’t want to invest the time and energy to personally develop themselves because it can be a painful process. Feel the pain and do it anyway. You grow through what you go through. Don’t make excuses for why you can’t do something. Make the adjustments and execute. It won’t be easy, but it will be worth it. Success is just on the other side of the excuse (the lie) you keep telling yourself.

7. What does your life look like five years from now?
Five years from now my entire immediate family will be living in our estate home that is so big we’ll have to text each other to know who’s home and who’s not. My hubby and I will most likely be homeschooling our son so that we are free to travel the world at our leisure and share this opportunity with everyone we meet along the way. I also want to start a non-profit that educates and inspires a generation of children to become entrepreneurs. Five years from now my success will force Mr. Bradley to create some more stars in our Director Program!

MEET NEW 20/20 CLUB MEMBER LAMONT BUSH!

2020club2_bush.jpg

Welcome to the PlanNet Marketing 20/20 Club, Lamont Bush! Lamont tells us that he graduated high school in 1982 and enlisted in the Navy that same year. He retired from the Navy after 23 years of honorable service and currently works for the Department of Homeland Security in Washington, DC. Lamont was born in Savannah, GA and now resides in Odenton, MD. He has four children and three grandchildren. His interests are bowling, traveling, and meeting new people.

While on active duty in the Navy, he traveled constantly to different countries around the world. He says, “I still travel on a regular basis, only now for fun and relaxation…not work!”

Lamont offers this advice, “Don’t ever give up on your goals. Stay focused and learn how to take ‘No’ as well as you take ‘Yes!’ Help others and you will be successful. Get an accountability partner and set goals together.  Try to recruit at least one person a month and teach your downline to do the same.”

MEET NEW 20/20 CLUB MEMBER TONYA PARKER FULWOOD!

2020club2_fulwood.jpg

Welcome to the PlanNet Marketing 20/20 Club, Tonya Parker Fullwood! Tonya was born and raised in Washington, DC and currently resides in Upper Marlboro, MD. She enjoys family time, cooking, singing, and music…“it frees my soul!” Tonya is a social worker who loves helping others go from a place of vulnerability to self-sufficiency and abundance.

Tonya tells us, “I love to travel and have a strong passion to do more of it!  I have been fortunate enough to vacation to Bermuda, Jamaica, several times to the Bahamas, and the Dominican Republic. My Dad was an avid fisherman, so I grew up fishing at the piers on East Coast beaches. I still enjoy it today!”

She says that she has achieved success in PlanNet Marketing because “I remain persistent in my daily income producing activity and follow up, and am I not emotionally attached to the outcome. I continue to raise my lid and be a better leader than I was yesterday. Today, people are joining my business who I prospected two to three years ago. I am on a mission to rescue, restore, and eliminate residual lack, not just for my family but others who want the same.

“A fun fact about me - my most memorable childhood event was in 8th grade, playing the role of Maria in the Sound of Music. I love to laugh and enjoy the company of free spirited, genuine people. My dream home is in Fort Lauderdale, FL, on the beach with the access and options to anything that I choose…oh and food…glorious food!”
