Two-Star Director Melodie Washington

PlanNet Marketing’s Two-Star Director and 20/20 Club Member Melodie Washington was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. She is the mother of one son, Darion, and a grandson, Kash. Melodie learned the meaning of hard work and dedication early in life after watching the strong work ethic in her mother, who Melodie says instilled in her “whatever you do in life, be the best at it and make the best of it."

Director Washington tell us, “Looking for what I thought would bring me stability, I began working for the Georgia state government at the early age of 22. After constantly working and living from paycheck to paycheck, I came to realize the years of service were increasing while the salary/benefits were decreasing. I was wise enough to know that I needed to do something different and that's when I got involved with the travel industry.

“After joining forces with leaders in the travel industry, I realized the power of residual income. What state government predicted would take 20 years to accomplish, this industry has done in less than six. I now realize that retirement is not about age, it's about income. Not only am I blessed to be one of the Founding Directors and a top income earner in PlanNet Marketing, but being able to consistently scratch off destinations on my bucket list… now that makes life more enjoyable to live!”

ONE-STAR DIRECTOR DAVID DACOSTA

One-Star Director David Dacosta is from the UK where he grew up in Southeast London. He graduated in Media Technology at Oxford Brookes University in 2010, and went on to become a film director, cameraman and video editor.

He became an entrepreneur when he got started in network marketing in 2014, and has never looked back. Going from hardships to being able to experience time and financial freedom at a young age has motivated him to help others believe that anything is possible.

Although retired from his TV and film job, Director Dacosta still has a passion for the movies and would love to get into acting one day, and he actually goes to the cinema alone to study films. His travel experiences around the PlanNet have given him the nickname @MrGoTravel because he has been on 25 holidays since January 2015. The best place he has visited is Atlanta, which he now calls his second home. 

He is experiencing success in the PlanNet by creating a fun environment where his team can succeed. He is a very strong believer that a leader needs to lead by example, so he makes sure he is always the hardest worker on the team!

His tip for fast success in PlanNet Marketing is mastering the power of part time and being consistent in building YOUR business. People who prioritize their PlanNet business over other things and consistently make the sacrifice will see the fastest results.

ONE-STAR DIRECTORS EDMOND AND DENEENE BROWN

New One-Star Directors and 20/20 Club Members Edmond and Deneene Brown were both born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia and currently reside in Fayetteville, GA. Edmond’s interests range from gadgets to electronics to kitchen appliances. He loves to experiment in the kitchen and as he puts it - “whip up a culinary experience for you.” His passion is cars, which led him to start his own pre-owned automobile dealership that he currently runs today. Deneene has been his staff support by assisting him with the necessary day-to-day operations of their business. She says, “I love the sound of laughter as it keeps me and my heart young. It is oh so good for the soul. Family is extremely important to me and we gather as often as possible to share a meal with each other and friends.”

This past year for the Browns has been a whirlwind of travel experiences. They have cruised on the Oasis of the Seas (Royal Caribbean), Eclipse (Celebrity Cruise Line), and the Getaway (Norwegian), all within a two-month time frame of each other. Other places that were a stop on the map included the Dominican Republic, California, Texas, the Carolinas, New York, Puerto Rico and of course their go-to destination, Florida. The Browns state, “Since becoming a part of this wonderful organization, we have begun writing our “To Do” travel list and keep the bags packed and ready to go on a moment’s notice.”

They share their path to success: “Having a ‘never give up’ attitude is our mantra for everything that we do in life. If you give up too soon, how will you ever find out where that road will lead?  Working as a couple, we often bounce ideas off of each other and ask for constructive feedback on how we could have handled certain situations a little better and push each other to be the very BEST you that anyone could imagine. While out conducting business or doing our everyday activities and someone sharp pops onto our radar, we look at each other and reply, ‘Go get ‘em tiger.’ This encourages us to get out of our comfort zone while making our business fun. Staying in contact with our upline Directors is an absolute must, along with our 30-minute daily reading! Plugging into the training calls and attending the weekly meetings also provides us with continued motivation, while being in the room with like-minded people as we reach for higher rungs on this ladder.”

The new Directors are enjoying their journey on the way to success with these simple but powerful nuggets:

ONE-STAR DIRECTOR LADONNA SPRATLEY

One-Star Director LaDonna Spratley was a featured 20/20 Club Member in the June PlanNetNow! Blog. Here is that feature article, with the addition of her new Director Star! Congratulations LaDonna!

Originally from Augusta, GA, LaDonna was born on the Fort Gordon U.S. Army Military Base. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Paine College in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems and she works for the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, serving our nation’s Veterans for 31 years. She lives in Atlanta, GA and is the single parent of two handsome sons, Darian, 24 and Odera, age 17.

LaDonna tells us, “I have always maintained a leadership role as I have trained hundreds of employees in their profession and career. I consider myself to have an impeccable work ethic and a passion for people. I have always had a passion for travel, even at a young age. I enjoyed and loved that my parents took us on trips and vacations every year so it was a predestined path for my future! I have visited several incredible places -  Jamaica, Mexico, and many islands in the Caribbean. Some of my other favorites fun activities are dancing, bowling, and painting.

I initially joined the industry to make an extra stream of income by becoming a Cruise Specialist and my niche is group cruises. Now my passion is creating (and accomplishing) a financial legacy for my children and their children and helping other families do the same. This opportunity has changed my family’s life in so many ways. We take paycations now; we have reduced our household debts tremendously and we enjoy the freedom and lifestyle changes that PlanNet Marketing affords.

You’re not an agent, employee, partner, or in a joint venture with PlanNet Marketing – please don’t pretend to be an employee, don’t answer your phone by saying “PlanNet Marketing” or posting our logo and/or name on your Facebook page. You’re a Rep, an IR, you run your own business (the business of YOU) and you’re the boss!
 
As a boss, you have some responsibilities to handle – like paying taxes, obeying laws, obeying PlanNet’s rules, and conducting your business with integrity. Make sure everyone knows who you are and who you represent – by identifying yourself as a Rep or an IR with PlanNet Marketing.

Two-Star Director and 20/20 Club Member Ferne Sapp describes herself “as a successful Kingdompreneur,” serving as business owner of Kairos Travel & Associates (KTA) since 2008. Specializing in group conference cruises, she creatively and courageously launched the Annual Poised & Prepared for Destiny Conference Cruise which is designed to EMPOWER women of all ages and backgrounds to live the life of PURPOSE God has destined. Having traveled all around the world as a child, Ferne has a definite affinity and love for travel! Some of her favorite destinations include Grand Turks, Turks & Caicos, Mexico, Aruba, and other islands of the Caribbean. Ferne is an Independent Travel Agent and holds several certifications, including CLIA, Princess Cruise Commodore, Norwegian Cruise Line Advanced Freestyle Specialist, Merlin Entertainment Groups Specialist (LegoLand), Holiday Inn Resort Aruba Specialist, and many more. Ferne serves as a coach and leader to many in the industry.

With over 15 years in ministry, Ferne continues to successfully teach and mentor others in living out their God-given purpose. Having a natural and spiritual gift for connecting people, she has served in various leadership roles both in corporate America and in the Kingdom of God. Ferne specializes in helping senior leaders and pastors develop ministries and nation-wide initiatives that impact local communities and the world at large. A native of Bridgeport, Connecticut, Ferne has earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management from Paine College (Augusta, GA). She is a licensed and ordained minister of the Gospel and has received a Master of Arts degree in Ministry and a Master of Divinity degree from Luther Rice University, Lithonia, GA. Ferne serves as the Campus Pastor of the New Covenant Christian Ministries East, a satellite church of New Covenant Christian Ministries.

In her quest to give back to the community Ferne serves as founder and president of Vessels of Purpose Ministries, Inc., a non-profit organization that exists to EDUCATE and EMPOWER people with practical and biblical principles for daily living, to improve their quality of life, and to EQUIP them to build and sustain healthy communities throughout the world. She is currently working on the inauguration of an empowerment foundation, Jewels with Purpose, designed to mentor young girls into their purpose.

Ferne recognizes that she is in a unique place of blessing as a Founding Member, Director, and 20/20 Club member within PlanNet Marketing. She says, “It is truly a season and time of harvest and I have set my mind and heart on helping as many people as I possibly can.” One of Ferne’s favorite quotes is ascribed to her ‘shero’ Harriet Tubman: “I freed a thousand slaves; I could have freed a thousand more if only they knew they were slaves.” Now is the time for freedom – financial freedom, personal freedom, time freedom. Her only prayer is that many would accept the invitation and live out the lives of freedom they are destined to live.

Living a life of purpose, Ferne resides in Covington, GA with her husband, Willie Sapp. Her greatest joys in life have come from her two children, now adults, and being a Grammy to her two grandchildren.

ONE-STAR DIRECTOR JOY LOVETT-DAWKINS

One-Star Director and 20/20 Club Member Joy Lovett-Dawkins was born in Lakeland, Florida and at the age of three moved to Atlanta, Georgia. Presently, she lives in Stone Mountain, GA with her husband of 22 years, their 14-year-old daughter and 13-year-old son. Joy is a graduate of Hampton University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Immediately after graduation Joy secured employment with Delta Air Lines as a flight attendant, and after five years in the airline industry she exchanged her flight wings for a real estate license. For the next decade she worked as a realtor, invested and managed her own properties and towards the end of the 10 years mastered loan origination. Joy was introduced to the concept of profiting from the industry of travel in 2008 while she was at home raising their children. For the last seven years she has honed her entrepreneurial skills by showing others how to live a profitable lifestyle from home in the travel industry.

Oh the places she has gone! Spain, England, France, Hawaii, Caribbean, Mexico, Canada and U.S. cities from Boise, Idaho to Bangor, Maine. Travel is certainly a passion for Joy!

Courage - “It does not have to be perfect. Go mess something up! Many times I had reservations because I did NOT want to make a mistake, yet I wanted to be GREAT.  In order to be great you must first be good, to be good you’ve GOT to get in there and DO IT! Take courage and do it!”

Q: How do I see the leads in my mobile app?

A. Log in to your Mobile app - the Home Screen shows easy access icons, with the Leads icon in the center of the first row. Simply click the icon to access your leads.You can see all activity for each lead by clicking on ALL ACTIVITY under their name - you can also easily chat, email or phone a specific lead. You can search and filter through all of your leads by clicking on Search/Filter at the bottom of your list of leads. Search by name, phone, or email and filter by date, who has watched the video, visited your website, or requested more info!

Compliance Tip of the Week

Training is important – and it’s required. When you sponsor another Rep into PlanNet Marketing, it’s your responsibility to train that person. You must provide a bona fide assistance and training function to each of your new Reps to ensure they are properly operating their PlanNet Marketing business. It’s important to keep in touch with your team because that communication from you, their leader, helps keep them all focused and on track. Reps who don’t have support often don’t stay focused on the business. They either do nothing (earning no income for themselves or for you) or they choose to stop paying and leave.

What does this “training” look like? It could be a one-on-one sit-down in your home or at a local coffee shop, or it could be a small group meeting with you and several new Reps. It could be a weekly phone call or an email you send to check in on them. Texting your individual team members or sending a message on social media works too. The training and assistance offered will look different for each of you. The purpose is what will be similar – to provide support, encouragement, and any training/assistance your downline team may need.

You are also responsible for monitoring your downline to ensure your Reps do not make improper product or business claims or engage in any illegal or inappropriate conduct. If you see one of your Reps doing or saying something you know is wrong – make a point to tell them quickly and quietly. No one wants their mistakes outed to everyone on Facebook or to the entire team on a conference call. But it’s important to handle the matter quickly so no wrong information gets out to the public. Find a way to quickly handle the matter, but be kind and understanding with the Rep.

I’ll contact them as well, and together we can work to help them find a compliant way to handle their business.
